Join Us in Transforming Lives in Mlolongo

My name is Alexandra and my fellow volunteer Corina and I are on a heartfelt mission to raise funds for a school, orphanage and women and children escaping domestic violence in Mlolongo, Kenya.

In our conversations with the wonderful staff and teachers as well as warm-hearted locals, we've learned about their urgent needs. They lack basic essentials such as food, water, stable housing and children are unable to receive education unless they are able to pay, which many are obviously unable to.

We also have many women and children who have fled from emotionally, physically and sexually abusive environments causing them to face incredible challenges on how to continue to support themselves and their children.

Every dollar raised will go directly to supplies, resources, food and other improvements for the primary school, the orphanage and the mother's who have been taken in by my house mother who is using her own house to keep these women safe.

I humbly ask for your support in sharing this post and, if possible, contributing to our cause. Your generosity will make a world of difference in this lovely, but seriously impoverished community.

This far I have already spent a large amount of my own money to try to support this community and it would be wonderful to have more financial support to continue to make a difference.
