Join us in supporting the Tormey Family

It is with a heavy heart that we have created this fundraiser on behalf of our beloved friends, John and Sarah Tormey. For the past few years, John has been quietly, and ferociously, battling colorectal cancer. Despite that tireless fight, the time has come to shift focus from battling the illness, to providing comfort and peace in John’s final chapter. As a father, husband, brother, son, and friend, he’s always been a rock, showing unconditional love and strength through every challenge life has thrown at him. As John begins hospice care, the priority is to make this time as comfortable, dignified, and loving as possible for him and his family.

In any life-changing health battle, there are a great many expenses that are not covered by insurance, creating a significant financial burden. The funds from this campaign will go directly toward medical bills, day-to-day living expenses, and preparations for final arrangements. Sarah is a teacher, and any money raised would allow her to take a leave of absence to focus on spending this precious time with John and their three children.

On a personal note - anyone that knows John and Sarah, knows that their story is one of great love – romantic, familial, and enduring. One would be hard pressed to find a couple more in love with one another, and more in love with life. Their three amazing kids, Kieran, Declan and Nora, are a testament to who they are, both as human beings, and as parents. We are absolutely heartbroken for them.
