Dear friends,

I am writing this on behalf of our dearest friend, Rob Cimorelli as he is currently dealing with several difficulties that are affecting his life.

Let me start off by saying, if you have met Rob, you have truly met one of the most unique and compassionate people on Earth. As a self proclaimed “Wizard from another realm,” Rob does not easily leave the mind once you have met him. Whether you converse about the mundane or discuss the otherworldly- with Rob, you will have a conversation that you won’t easily forget! Nor can you forget receiving one of Rob’s emoji filled essay texts!

Choosing to work with Autistic adults, Rob takes these his clients out to parks, gardens and hiking areas to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Without Rob, these adults might not have a chance to experience time outdoors, time in nature or time around other people. I have seen Rob interact with his clients and he truly treats them like family. It is this type of wonderful work that Rob has chosen to spend his time and energies on.

Friends, Rob is asking for help because he is experiencing a difficult time in his life. Although not directly affected, after the Altadena fires, Rob experienced recurring PTSD that led to loss of employment as well as him losing his home. Currently, Rob is working hard to get a positive handle on his mental health but needs a bit of help to get back to where he was previous to the fires. Rob needs a new home (renting a room, back house, trailer etc) and Rob needs to keep his Dog companion, Eevee healthy and happy. This is what your donations would go towards.

Who am I? My name is Gabby and I have been a friend of Rob’s for almost ten years. We met through a team-based phone game called Ingress (similar to Pokémon Go) and, through it, we became great friends. Upon meeting Rob, I immediately saw that he was different than most people I knew. Rob has a way of seeing his world around him that is very distinct compared to the rest of us and I appreciated this view. Although I lived in Pasadena most of my life, I have recently moved to the Bay Area and when I heard that Rob was struggling with funds, I offered to send him a little help. Upon thinking about it more, I offered to help him write this GoFundMe in the hopes that we could get the community involved.

We are very aware that there are thousands of people trying to recover from the Altadena Fires and we both have friends that were deeply affected by this tragedy. To be clear, Rob was NOT directly touched by the fires, but he did have to evacuate and his mental health was very much affected by the chaos and uncertainty that followed it. We purposely set the funds at only $2000 because Rob just needs a little help getting back on his feet- as we all do at times. ANY amount you choose to donate would help Rob.

The donations from this fund will go towards:

1. A much needed deposit for a new home for Rob

2. “Sending Eevee to Dog College” AKA Vet Bills, Dog food ect

3. Medical Expenses
