Support for Pat and David Wiseman – A Journey Through Healing and Hope
We’re asking for your help to support two incredible people, Pat and David Wiseman, who have been going through an incredibly difficult chapter in their lives. The last few years have brought overwhelming health challenges and financial hardship — and they need a helping hand now more than ever.
Two years ago, Pat suffered a major stroke that changed her life forever. The stroke affected her ability to communicate — she often knows what she wants to say or who someone is, but struggles to find the right words. Her balance has been impacted, and she also suffers from vision damage that requires bi-monthly injections to preserve what sight she still has. On top of all this, she’s been fighting diabetes throughout the entire recovery process.
Before the stroke, Pat held a job that helped keep their household financially stable. But after her stroke, she was no longer able to work — and losing that income has made it incredibly hard to stay ahead of bills, especially with mounting medical expenses. They’ve been doing everything they can to get by, but it’s becoming more and more difficult to keep up.
As if that weren’t enough, David has recently suffered what doctors are calling a mini-stroke that affected the right side of his face. He already lives with COPD, severe asthma, claustrophobia, and intense anxiety and panic attacks. Now, he’s also experiencing the onset of short-term memory loss, making daily life even more complicated and overwhelming.
These back-to-back health battles have left Pat and David emotionally and financially drained. They're kind, humble people who have always given what they could to others, and now they’re in a position where they need to lean on the kindness of their community.
