Join Us in Supporting Michael and His Family

Hello friends, we are reaching out on behalf of our cousin, Michael John Aves….a dear husband to Liz, and loving father to Mikey and Chloe. Mikey is 10 years old and Chloe is 7 years old, too young to go through this heartache or to even fathom what lies ahead for their Dad.

Michael, 44 was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in March of 2024. It has aggressively spread despite the chemotherapy, inter-cranial brain surgery, and clinical trials. He is currently fighting the biggest and most terrifying battle of his life right now, and we are all trying to help him in any way possible.

Since our Dad, Daniel and his and Melissa’s father, Nomer passed away in 2000, Michael is the patriarch of our family. With these duties as the patriarch, Michael walked Tuck and Cindy down the aisle at each of their weddings. It breaks our hearts that he won’t be here to walk his own daughter, Chloe at her wedding some day.

For as long as we can remember, Michael was always the favorite nephew, grandson and son because he was the only “Boy” amongst all the Aves girls ( Tuck, Cindy, Melissa, and I) and despite that he eventually became our favorite little cousin and brother. He is also the favorite cherished friend with the extensive sneaker collection and often the life of the party in true Filipino fashion with karaoke microphone in hand!

This is primarily to help our cousin’s family especially young Mikey and Chloe.
