Join Us in Supporting Crystal Wood's Cancer Fight

This is supporting my girlfriend, Haley's mother!

Our family is reaching out to the community for support in our family's time of need. In April, our mama, Crystal Wood, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. While treatment has been difficult, she is determined to keep going and fighting this thing for herself, her family, and the community she has served for almost 20 years.

As many of you know, Crystal is a public health nurse. She has spent her career serving the Grady and Mitchell county residents at the local health departments. Other than her family. there is nothing my mama loves more than her patients. Our mom has had to go on FMLA due to the effect her treatments have had on her body. Our dad.

Jamie Wood, stays home and takes care of her to the best of his abilities considering his own health issues.

While she is happy to give her patients and friends the shirt off of her back, she would never ask the same of others. Even now, she is shy about doing this fundraiser. She does not want to inconvenience anybody by asking them for help.

My siblings and I, along with several of her friends at the health department, are sponsoring a fundraiser to help with the financial burden that comes along with the battle she is fighting.
