I am creating this in hopes that we can gather the support to help my brother-in-law, Caleb, and his fiancé, Amanda, get through to the other side of a very difficult time.

In early February, at 7 months pregnant, Amanda was admitted into the hospital for dangerously high blood pressure and given shots to help the baby girl's lungs develop. They then took her by helicopter to Jevon Bea Mercy Health Hospital, induced labor, which in the end resulted in an emergency C-section.

Both mom and baby were healthy but had to be monitored for some time after. During this time, both Caleb and Amanda used up all of their time off work that they could to still have some pay, but ultimately didn’t have enough time to make ends meet. Since being able to go back to work, they’ve been catching up on bills, but Amanda has had post-C-section complications, and they found a mass that has to be monitored, resulting in more unexpected time off work. Things were tight before this second round of unexpected time off, but they were making do with the support of their loved ones.

All we are looking to do is help find them a little relief, keep their bills paid, and be sure they’ll have the means to provide the necessities for their 5-month-old daughter. We all know that times with a newborn are hard and tiring. Facing all these struggles along with those of the newborn stages can be devastating. Prayers are needed!
