Rebuilding St. Louis One Family at a Time

On May 16, 2025, an EF-3 tornado tore through the City of St. Louis, devastating North and West STL — the very communities where Black Men That Pray was founded and where our families live, serve, and uplift every day.

This isn’t just news to us. This is home.

We are a grassroots group of men from North City and West City of St. Louis who came together through faith, brotherhood, and a shared mission to support one another and our communities through prayer and action. This storm has directly affected our families, our neighbors, and the people we’ve grown up with.

That’s why we’re not waiting on help. We’re becoming the help.

On Saturday, May 24, we’re teaming up with Tasty Treats STL to host a mobile food and supply giveaway, delivering hot meals, bottled water, and essentials directly to the neighborhoods most impacted by the tornado.

Who We Are: We are the founders and members of Black Men That Pray, a local faith-based community group in St. Louis committed to uplifting Black men and their families through faith, service, and support.

Where We’re From: Our group is made up of men who live in and represent the North and West sides of St. Louis — some of the areas hardest hit by the tornado.

Our Relationship to the Community: We are not outsiders. We’re raising funds for our own communities — the same streets we walk, the same schools our kids attend, the same neighbors we check on.

How the Funds Will Be Spent: Your donations will directly support the relief event on May 24 and our ongoing support efforts. Specifically, funds will be used to:

• Serve over 500 hot meals to families and individuals in impacted areas

• Purchase bottled water and beverages for safe hydration

• Support additional pop-ups and re-up efforts as needs continue in the coming weeks

Every dollar will go directly toward bringing relief, nourishment, and dignity to people who need it most.

We’re pledging our time, resources, and effort to help rebuild the communities that raised us.
