Hi There, I’m Annie. A Single Mom Of 4 Wonderful Children. Including My 6 Year old Son who was Diagnosed with a rare & aggressive form of lymphatic cancer.
3 years Ago, I left an abusive marriage, to protect my children, I moved back into my childhood home, cleaned out 30 years worth of hoarding and filth. Only to find out 6 months in that the home was Riddled with Toxic Mold from Consistent water damage in the attic never being repaired and that it was Killing my Son from breathing it in daily.
Christmas Morning of 2023 I woke to find Desmond cold, blue unresponsive, and barely clinging to life, he was life flighted to A children’s hospital 5 hours from home and spent the next 115 days in hospital fighting sepsis, a collapsed lung, heart, liver & kidney failure and had to completely relearn how to sit up, walk, talk, eat after being intubated for nearly a month at only 4 years old. He’s since then made a full recovery from the sepsis infection and organ failures, but we have a potentially life long journey against his Cancer ahead of us.
Pericardial Lymphangioma is a rare (only 35 known diagnosis) form of Lymphatic Vessel Malformation or Lymphatic Fluid Overproduction that can lead to tumors in or lymphatic fluid compression on the heart.
The Only Current Form of Treatment is a Daily Dose Of Oral Chemo Therapy. But the cost for his Medication is $6,500 a MONTH.
I’ve maxed out every credit card, and work Multiple jobs, but With How often he is sick and in the hospital being able to keep a steady income seems impossible.
I truly don’t know what to do anymore to even keep the electricity on or food on the table
Or how to get him the medication he needs.
I’m DESPERATELY BEGGING for help to cover the costs needed to get us into somewhere clean and safe!
The Cost Needed to remediate the mold and repair the damage to the house is well into the 10’s of thousands range. Which just isn’t an option unless we can make a miracle happen!
