This fundraiser is now responding to a tragic update. On the evening of August 28, a fire burnt our neighbors' shops to a crisp, destroying half of the structure, and severely damaging our 5 spaces by heat and smoke, as well. The cause of the fire is unknown, and no one was present or hurt in the event. We have salvaged some of our art and other items but are loosing most of it.

Currently, we are waiting to hear what management plans to do, whether to demolish and/or rebuild, if there are other spaces here we can move to, whether insurance will help, etc...

Meanwhile any support is appreciated, and that includes sharing stories and memories, since that's what our community was built on.

We are the Red Barn Collective.
We are an artist collective and community led third space open to the public each weekend within the larger ecosystem of the Folsom Blvd Flea Market located in East Sacramento.

Visit our website at Redbarncollective.org

We an incubator space for community resilience projects, offering mentorship and connection, while adapting to constant shifts in the needs and visions of those who join us. We are committed to creating value that cannot be quantified by a dollar amount.

Our shared ethos is our foundation: decentralized leadership, mutual aid, barter systems, cooperation, and mentorship.

Summer is hard for us, we limit the events we plan because the heat can be dangerous and we choose to close our doors in 100+ degree weather. That means we loose sales and revenue that would otherwise go towards paying our rent. As an independently funded project, that relies on core members as our financial safety net, we are reaching out for the first time to ask for support from our friends, family, and greater community! Thank you for your time.
