My name is David and I am a member of BikeDenver.net - an Denver-based online and inclusive community for cyclists of all walks of life.

While our metro area does a fantastic job at sweeping roads, a lot of that debris ends up in our bike infrastructure or our bike lanes are unfortunately completely neglected.

We would love to raise enough money to purchase a Bike Lane Sweeper to help with this challenge. There are two models, a push-aside and hybrid. The push-aside model pushes debris out of the lane. The hybrid model brushes the debris into bins for disposal.

We believe the hybrid model would be most effective for the debris we experience most commonly.

Our community has many, many members who would volunteer their time and cycling prowess to help do the labor of pulling the sweeper behind their bikes.

All we need is the funds to acquire one! We will keep this page updated with funding progress, and in the event we reach the funding goal, updates with how successful our sweeping has been!

The cost from the manufacturer is $3,900 before taxes, fees, cross border fees. We have added to the fundraise amount to cover for those charges.
