Adoption has long been on our hearts as a beautiful way to grow our family—ever since we first saw in Scripture that God has adopted us into His family (Eph. 1:5–6; Rom. 8:14–15). About a year ago, we began the long process of paperwork, training, and waiting. At the start of 2025, we were officially approved to adopt in New Mexico. Then, just three weeks ago, we received a life-changing call: a newborn baby boy at a hospital only minutes away needed a family. It was an easy yes! After a whirlwind of emotions, we met our son that very afternoon. Thomas “Tomie” Anderson Schroeder is now home with us, healthy and growing every day.

We are overflowing with gratitude to the Lord for how He orchestrated every detail to bring Tomie into our family. Annie and Evie love being big sisters, and we’re all adjusting joyfully to life with a newborn again. As we continue this journey, we’d be grateful for your prayers and partnership.

The total cost of the adoption is about $30,000. This money covers all of the fees for our adoption agency, medical care, legal fees, etc. So far, we have raised about $20,000 and are hoping to raise the remainder.
