Hello everyone, I wanted to update and check in with you. Some of you may know I visited urgent care due to severe blood loss and pain during and between my menstruation periods. An internal and external ultrasound revealed a large fibroid and cyst. Dr. Todd Stalnaker, a wonderful specialist, discussed options with me, initially leaning towards hormone treatment but ultimately deciding on surgery. (Thank goodness!) During surgery, he found stage 4 endometriosis that had fused to my colon and sphincter and other areas, making it a bigger surgery than expected. My body was even trying to deliver the fibroid!

Now, I'm on the road to a 6 week recovery. I share this to inspire others to trust their instincts and speak up for their health. Like my Mom, things could have had a much different outcome. Prompt action and intuition can make great change . I'm so thankful for Dr. Stalnaker and my support system.
