Hi friends!

My name is Lo and I've never done this before, but the universe is gently nudging me forward, so here we go!

This year for my birthday, I am going to ask for something I have struggled with asking for my whole life. Help.

It is LONG overdue for my babies and me to leave where we are now and we have been longing to know the peace and safety of a space we can call home.

Our dream is to convert a school bus into a tiny house and take our adventures on the road! Those who know us know that we are big on the adventures in this trio and this will be the biggest one yet! Having a bus house will mean that we will never have to worry about having a safe place to be ourselves and we can live in a way that is true to us. That involves being out in nature to ground us and changing the scenery to feed the hunger of curiosity and learning.

We have some amazing humans on our side ready to jump in to help with this build! Our diesel mechanic, welder, carpenter, electrician, and emotional support crew are excitedly on standby waiting for the green light! I've done extensive research on the chassis, engine, and transmission that would be best suited for a beginner like me to trouble shoot/fix on the road. I will be elbows deep in this build and learning and teaching as we go and we are all SO excited!

I've drawn up a few rough draft layouts, started a whole journal for notes, and spent hours on YouTube, in forums, and Facebook groups learning as much as I can on my own to be prepared. It's a huge project and I am so excited for this challenge!

Home is always where we are together regardless of location, and I am so grateful to have so much time with my monkeys during these formative homeschooling years. Unfortunately, doing it all as a solo parent with my AuDHD in the mix and only being able to work part-time has made the road to bus life super challenging. Savings ebb and flow drastically on one income, so getting to our goal has felt like swimming upstream for years. Gods know this mama could use a leg up.

So here I am, trust falling into the universe ✨️

I will continue to put what I can away towards this goal, and I won't stop until we meet it! But we would be so grateful to anyone who could help make this dream a reality.
