Help Us Build the Future Home of Sadie Jane Dance
For the past year, something really special has been growing in downtown Brunswick.
What started as a few dance classes has turned into a community of dancers showing up every week to move, sweat, laugh, and reconnect with themselves through dance.
At Sadie Jane Dance, our mission has always been simple:
Create a space where adults can feel confident, supported, and inspired—whether they’ve never danced before or are returning after years away from it.
And the response has been incredible.
In the past year alone we’ve hosted:
• Weekly Stilettos, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary classes
• Private coaching and technique sessions
• Community workshops and partner classes
• A breast cancer fundraiser event
• Collaborations with dancers across Maine
• And now… our first ever Spring Showcase: MOVEMENT
Every week we see new dancers walk through the door nervous and unsure—and leave standing taller, stronger, and smiling.
Dance has the power to transform people.
But right now, our studio is temporary.
We’ve been operating out of a shared event space in downtown Brunswick, and while it’s allowed us to grow, it’s not designed for the kind of dance community we’re building.
Which brings us to the next big step.
The Dream: A Permanent Dance Home
We are currently working toward opening a permanent Sadie Jane Dance studio space in Cook’s Corner, designed specifically for adult dancers and the incredible community we’ve built.
This space will allow us to:
• Offer more weekly classes and training opportunities
• Host guest teachers and workshops
• Provide rehearsal space for performers and local dancers
• Create community events and showcases
• And most importantly, give our dancers a place that truly feels like home
A space where anyone can walk in and know they belong.
Our Goal: $50,000
We are raising $50,000 to help fund the renovation and build-out of the new studio space.
These funds will go directly toward:
• Dance flooring and installation
• Mirrors and studio build-out
• Lighting and sound equipment
• Safety upgrades and construction
• Creating a welcoming, professional environment for dancers
Opening a studio takes a tremendous amount of resources, and while we are investing everything we can ourselves, we also believe that this community deserves to be part of building it.
The MOVEMENT Showcase
On April 11th, dancers from Sadie Jane Dance and guest performers from across Maine will take the stage for our Spring Showcase: MOVEMENT.
This performance represents more than choreography.
It represents the courage of dancers who said yes to something new.
The friendships built in class every week.
And the pursuit of something bigger than ourselves.
All proceeds from the showcase go directly toward building our future studio.
How You Can Help
If Sadie Jane Dance has ever inspired you, made you smile, or made you feel stronger in your own body, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.
You can help by:
• Donating to this fundraiser
• Purchasing tickets to the showcase
• Sharing this campaign with friends and family
• Taking a class and joining the community
Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to opening the doors to a permanent dance home for our community.
Thank you for believing in this dream and for helping us bring it to life.
