Join Us in Combating Clothing Insecurity
We are two high schoolers who founded The Mitten Organization after noticing the rising poverty and lack of access to appropriate clothing in New York City. Our mission is simple: to combat clothing insecurity and ensure that everyone has access to the warm, suitable clothing they need.
Our inspiration came from seeing children and families in our community struggling to stay warm during the harsh winter months. We started with small clothing drives at our school, and with the overwhelming support of our community, our initiative has grown significantly.
We collect gently used and new clothing and distribute them to those in need through local schools, shelters, and community centers. Our focus is on providing warm winter clothing, such as coats, scarves, gloves, and hats, to help individuals and families face the cold with dignity and comfort.
Your donation can make a significant impact:
$20 can provide a child with a warm coat.
$50 can ensure a family has enough winter clothing.
Join us in making a difference. Your support will help us keep more people warm and spread hope throughout our community. Together, we can combat clothing insecurity in New York City, one garment at a time.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
