In our community, we face significant challenges with violence that is increasingly impacting our youth. Many adults and children are suffering as a result. My name is Ty, and I established We Can Be Hero’s in March 2024 as a mentoring program aimed at addressing these issues. Currently, I mentor over 15 young individuals, with many more pending applications eager to join our initiative.
At our events, primarily held at Elmwood Park in Omaha, we work diligently to give back to the community through initiatives like lemonade stands, public events, and clubs at the Willa Cather branch library. I focus on equipping our youth with essential skills such as money management, basic life skills, and job training , discipline.
Additionally, I organize field trips and provide various educational opportunities and resources to empower our community.
