In navigating our new normal, it's easy to forget that there are those out there who are now facing even more uncertainty and fear. As part of the Keller Williams family, every #RedDay on 5/14, we #GiveWhereWeLive and rally our Pasadena neighbors to join us in donating our time and resources to an establishment that makes a real difference in our community. This year, we are committed to making a difference for our friends at Journey House, who go above and beyond for Pasadena's foster youth who have aged-out of the system.
After seeing the vast amount of unmet needs of youth who have "aged-out" of foster care, founder Tim Mayworm opened Journey House in 1983 to provide shelter, offer support, inspire hope, and give every one, regardless of their adverse circumstances, a place to call home.
Its residents include graduating students, parents supporting newborns, and young adults looking to begin careers. Now more than ever, Journey House NEEDS OUR SUPPORT in raising funds to help their operations as many of their residents face extreme economic uncertainty. These funds will be allocated toward basic supplies such as toiletries, infant care items like diapers and baby shampoo, as well as meals, and other daily expenses that ensure their residents continued path toward success.
If you are in a position to join us in #GivingWhereYouLive, donating is simple and every little bit, big or small makes an impact. Let's look back on this as a time when we came together in support of our community.
Sincerely,
Your KW Pasadena Neighbor
