Hello friends, family, and loved ones!
My name is Korin Dale (formally Cuico) and Chelsea is my wife. We have been married for 3 years and have recently moved to Colorado from our home state of Southern California. Since moving to the Centennial State, we have bought a home and have 2 loving doggies Kika (our sunbathing pittie) and Arlo (our crazy chocolate lab). We are looking to expand our family of 4 via IVF in the upcoming months and are looking for any financial assistance to help with the cost of the fertility treatments.
I would like to first start by giving you some background about Chelsea and I and how we got to the place we are now, as it has definitely been quite a journey. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can get a little long winded so I apologize in advance if it's TMI or "hurry up and get to the point", but I felt it was important for you to know us and the journey we have made to get to where we are now.
About 6 years ago, we met each other at a mutual family friend's birthday party and briefly talked throughout the night, with some curiosity about each other's lives but not getting into any specific details. We were both in different places in our lives: with me starting my second year of PT school, and Chelsea taking off in her leadership position working at Terranea. We added each other on Instagram (as asking for a phone number seemed a little forward for a few small chats throughout the night). For months throughout the year, we messaged each other. Commenting on each other's stories and pictures, but never really anything more. With months gone by without any communication, Chelsea direct messaged me on Instagram and said, "Hey! I was thinking about you the other day...how have you been?" To my surprise, I was shocked she even thought of me at all seeing how we hadn't spoken to each other in months. I will admit, I was crushing on Chelsea HARD the first night we met, but there was so much motion between the two of us that the timing just didn't seem right. Needless to say, the second I messaged her back, the rest was history.
Within the first few weeks of us talking and getting to know each other, we met in a Target parking lot (as it was the half way and neutral place between her house and my parent's) and we just sat in my car and talked. Geez did we talk. We aired out our dirty laundry, our skeletons from our closets, and all the emotional baggage that came with us. Overwhelming FOR SURE, but I knew in that moment that we were going in for the long haul. I will admit some of the things that came up that night made me a little bit weary about continuing this pursuit, but I recognized the vulnerability and the sense of safety within those moments that I knew it was the beginning of an amazing journey.
We traveled and shared many firsts together, and with each moment we spent with each other, I knew she was going to be my forever. There are many things that we have learned about one another throughout the years, but the one thing we knew for sure was wanting to have a family. There were so many things we talked about wanting to do before we began this endeavor because we felt we needed to lie down a strong foundation for our family to grow and love upon. COVID sucked and screwed up a lot of our plans, but it was honestly one of the best things to happen to us. It gave me a chance to fall in love with Colorado and the chosen family residing within it to take the chance and move away from home. So we shot gunned our marriage with the only way my Cuico family knows how: with a backyard BBQ (Dodger themed of course) haha. Within a year of us moving to Colorado, we bought our home and started laying down our roots.
Throughout the years and time of us living here, we have learned a lot about each other. We have had to pivot, shift, push, and pull: all of which has stressed and strained our marriage. But at the end of the day, we knew we loved each other and that we were willing to fight for us no matter what it took. We knew we wanted to have a home to raise our children in, and fur babies that will love them ferociously. We are both proud and humbled to look at the life we have built together and knowing in our hearts that we are ready for more.
We have been consulting and working with a fertility clinic in Denver who has been amazing by explaining the process and expectations of what is to come. It is surreal that we are one step closer towards our forever family as it has been something that we have talked and prepared for for years. Chelsea will be undergoing IVF in the next few months, and the cost of the expenses for this procedure (fertility medication, extraction, implantation, follow-up appointments, etc.) are starting to stack up and we are graciously looking for any financial assistance to help build our Dale family.
We greatly appreciate any donation that you are willing to give, as every cent will be used towards baby Dale. Thank you for taking the time to read through our story, and we look forward to delivering some exciting news in the months to come thanks to you!
**Chelsea wanted to write a little something so here is her addition!**
Hello everyone,
For those of you that know me well, you know words are hard. I have a ton of emotions, but my wife somehow always encapsulates what I would like to say way better than I could ever imagine, so ditto to what she said! :)
I’d just like to thank you for your love and support as we venture into this very exciting time in our lives. From day one, this has been a dream for the both of us, and now we feel we are in the right space to expand our little family. Needless to say, we are ready to become mothers, and Kika & Arlo are excited to become big sisters!
I love yall!
Much love,
The Dale Family
