The Cycle To End Father Absence (C2EFA) is a fundraising campaign hosted by the 21st Century Dads Foundation in support of the Special Fathers Network, a dad to dad mentoring program for fathers raising children with special needs.
In addition to matching our more seasoned (typically dads with 10 or more years of experience) SFN Mentor Fathers with dads closer to the beginning of their special needs family journey, 21st Century Dads Foundation also funds the:
- SFN Dad To Dad Podcast, now with more than 300 weekly episodes,
- SFN Mastermind Groups with a growing number of dads who meet weekly by Zoom and then convene annually for an in-person weekend retreat,
- SFN Annual Dads Virtual Conference attracting 100's of dads from more than 10 countries, including; Australia, Canada, Cayman Islands, England, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Nigeria, Slovenia, Uganda, United States and Wales,
- SFN Audiobook Series with the first five titles featuring Stories From the SFN Dad To Dad Podcasts on: Autism, Down Syndrome, Rare Disease, Cerebral Palsy and Losing A Child.
This C2EFA event is open to men and women, young and old, as well as those with means and without.
Riders make a donation of $50 and receive a bright yellow Dadvocate t-shirt, a 21CD water bottle, a good workout and the satisfaction of supporting families touched by disability and special needs.

We have a series of recognition levels:
$10,000 - in honor/memory of 21CD volunteer Lawton 'Wilk' Wilkerson, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen who passed away at 96 in 2023. **
$5,000 - in honor/memory of Dick Hoyt, SFN Podcast Dad #11, one of the world's most iconic fathers, who pushed his son Rick in 34 Boston Marathons and 1200 races, who passed away at 80 in 2021. **
$2,500 - in honor/memory of Ryan M. Hanson who was a 21CD volunteer who very sadly passed away in 2017, from natural causes, shortly before his 19th birthday and whose name 21CD offers an annual 21CD summer internship. **
$1,000 - in honor/memory of 'Grandma Claire' Hirsch and all the women who didn't sign up to be single moms, but who do everything they can to keep their kids safe and help them reach their full potential. **
$500 - 21CD A Father's Journey To End The Cycle Of Father Absence book.
$100 - receive five 21CD Great Dad Coins to honor a handful of dads.
