Great news! The Petaluma Signs Project has surpassed its $22,000 goal to restore the iconic neon chick sign at the former Poehlmann Hatchery. Thanks to an outpouring of community support that began in August 2025, this beloved piece of Petaluma is shining brightly once again.
Any additional donations made here will fund a contingency reserve to cover unexpected expenses that often arise during restoration work.
Photo above, taken by Cindy Caruso, shows the sign fully restored during the June 14, 2026 lighting ceremony that was attended by 150 people.
This campaign is a proud partnership of the Petaluma Signs Project, San Francisco Neon, and the Petalumans of Yesteryear.
