Join Team Connor: Support Him and His Family in The Fight

This is Connor, my 8 yr old charming little lovebug. At the end of May 2024 we took a trip to the ER for what we thought was in relation to a concussion only to find that he had a tumor in his brain and that we needed to go to Children's Milwaukee asap. Since then it has been a rollercoaster. We learned that he has an aggressive high grade giloma. He has gone through 8 surgeries in total which include a debulk of the tumor, a shunt, revisions to the shunt, and external drains. We went home for a brief couple weeks waiting to start radiation in Green Bay. Unfortunately, it didn't work as we were hoping, he starting having symptoms that brought us back to Children's June 20th where we have been since. In the time we were at home the tumor had doubled in size. With complications from the shunts and drains we had to remain inpatient, but knew the tumor needed to addressed. We started radiation and medicine down here, but we would have to stay in Milwaukee for the entire treatment.

Connor has taken all of this in stride, smiling, laughing, farting, and winning the hearts of everyone that crosses his path. He is so brave. You will see him sporting his Ironman stuff, his superhero blanket and pillow that his barn friends made, his Packer gear, other gifts that have been sent to him and of course his beloved Koala.

Also, while we have been here I have been recovering from a injury I sustained in a horse riding accident where I was stepped on and broke 6 of my ribs. This resulted in me being off of work for a bit using up all of my leave and no longer getting paid. I am still off of work as I stay with Connor in Milwaukee. Cody had been our only income until the end of July when the company he worked for permanently let go of his dept. Our other 2 children have been staying with their grandma in De Pere this entire time which we have been super grateful for, but have been able to come visit here and there.
