Join Reston's Fight Against CDH

As many as you know, we welcomed our 3rd baby, Reston, on May 28,2024. He was born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, causing his intestines, stomach, spleen, and liver to form in the left side of his chest because he had little left diaphragm. He had his repair surgery 48 hours after birth, and the past four weeks have been a roller coaster. He’s been extubated, re intubated, chest tube removed and replaced three times, fed then NPO, treated for meningitis and possible “seizures”. Our family has been through this before, so I know we’ll overcome this hurdle.

We have been asked if we need anything and how can we be helped, and right now the only help we really need is financially. We have been blessed to have my parents live less than a mile from us and help us with the kids and the dogs, as well as friends who help out with the kids. I’m currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore, while Alan is at home working 10/12 hour days and visiting when he can. The kids take turns going back and forth. With all that, the gas going back and forth, the garage parking, and food ( dinner is provided by RMH ) and just normal expenses that have accumulated due to my pay being cut to 60%, that’s where we could use the help. Do not feel obligated to help, I just wanted to put this out there so that those who want and can help, are able.
