Hi! I'm Raechel Kadoya, Founder and Director of Kibou Events and Entertainment. I am raising money to film a documentary focused on raising awareness of one of the many dying arts in Japan- The Art of Sake brewing. Over the past 30 years more than a thousand historical sake breweries, centuries old, have been lost to industrialization, man-made and natural disasters and a troubled economy. I would like to bring light to the struggles and hardships these breweries face while sharing the efforts put forth by individuals and communities who come together in support of this dying art that is such a valuable part of Japan’s heritage, history and culture. Funds raised here will go to support the making of this film in the United States and in Japan.
