Hi I’m Amber a mama to four incredible kids and a woman who believes deeply in the power of love empathy and human connection. As a single mom I’ve made it my mission to raise children who don’t just know kindness but practice it — to teach them that even the smallest hands can make a big difference in this world.
Every summer when my kids are home with me we carry out one of our most sacred traditions: creating and hand-delivering Love Bags to people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Springfield.
Each bag is filled with essential items like hygiene products snacks notepads wipes and small tokens of encouragement. But more importantly they are filled with intention. These aren’t just donations. They are conversations moments of dignity and reminders that someone cares.
But this project isn’t just for those who receive the bags. It is for my children.
I believe the most precious gift I can give them is compassion — not just in words but in action. Love Bags gives them the chance to see people to connect and to serve from the heart. These moments shape who they are becoming. They learn that every soul has value and that being able to help is not a burden. It is a privilege.
Until now this has always been a Mama-funded project. We have done what we could each year shopping in bulk at Costco and assembling about 16+ bags for around 550 dollars. But this year I want to do more and I would love to invite you into this with us.
Our goal is to assemble at least 30 Love Bags this summer and reach even more people in our community. Your donation will go directly toward the supplies needed to fill these bags with care quality and love. Anything beyond that will go toward our non-profit (that's still in it's baby stage "Liighthouse")
If you are a parent I hope this touches your heart the way it touches mine. If you have ever wanted to raise your children to be kind, thoughtful, and aware of the world around them, then you already understand why this project matters so much.
I also encourage you to do this project with your babies. Even just a few bags at a time can make a difference. You can accumulate supplies slowly and keep them in your car so they’re ready when the opportunity arises. It's a simple yet powerful way to teach compassion through action.
And if you are a business owner or brand looking to be part of something beautiful we would love to give you a shoutout on social media as a sponsor of this year’s Love Project.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for caring. And thank you for believing just like we do that raising compassionate kids creates a more compassionate world.
