Hello, my name is Manny Raya, and I have been an active member of the Santa Barbara community, working with non-profit organizations since I was nineteen years old. I am the co-founder of the at-risk youth surf program dubbed "Turf 2 Surf" and the head coach of the non-profit boxing program based out of State Street Boxing in the last two years. This year, my mission is to run a two-week, non-profit surfing, boxing, and jiu-jitsu camp for our local youth. This program looks to be free of charge to the participants and funded grass-roots by our very own community. My mission is to provide these kids with lessons in all 3 sports while feeding them and ensuring they stay properly hydrated. I aim to teach these kids skills and fill them with memories that will last them a lifetime. That being said, I aim to send every participant home with a surfboard at the end of the camp so that they may continue to practice their newfound skills as they continue their journey in life.
