In March 2020, my daughter Johana and I were preparing to embark on a mission trip to the Maasai Mara in Kenya with Georgia-Cumberland Academy. We planned to work alongside Africa Mission Services (AMS), a dedicated non-governmental organization that partners with local Maasai leadership to:

• Improve educational opportunities for children

• Offer medical services in rural villages

• Provide clean drinking water to households

One of AMS’s most vital resources is the AMS Community Health Clinic & Birth Center, which serves as the primary medical and women’s health center for the local community. As a healthcare professional, I was especially looking forward to contributing my skills to this incredible mission.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our plans. Just days before our departure, travel restrictions were put in place, and the trip was canceled.

Now, after years of waiting, we’re thrilled at the opportunity to join the next mission trip in June 2025! However, we can’t do this alone. We need your support to make this dream a reality.

Introducing Beanies for Babies!

To support this mission, I’m crocheting beanie hats and purchasing onesies for newborns at the AMS Community Health Clinic & Birth Center. These simple yet meaningful gifts will help keep newborns warm and cared for in their first days of life.
