This fundraiser is for the Jay C Rose YouTube channel. The money raised will go toward helping homeless people, people in need, and their pets. This includes buying supplies like tents, sleeping bags, blankets, food, and much, much more. If you would like to donate for a particular person in one of my videos, please let me know who the money is for in the comments or notes. I will do my best to get them the supplies they need. I do not give out cash to people. I will take the time to purchase and deliver anything they need. If I cannot find them after a certain amount of time, your donation will go toward helping someone else in need. I put out videos every week so you will be able to see where the money goes.

I have been helping people in need for a long time. My mother instilled this in me at a young age when she would take home-cooked Thanksgiving dinners with all the trimmings to homeless encampments in the middle of a park in downtown Sacramento when I was a kid. She did this even though we did not have a lot of money ourselves. Later in life, I had a job where I had to drive a lot for work. I would fill a plastic tote with supplies for the homeless and carry it around with me just in case I ran into someone in need. This was way before I started the YouTube channel.

One day, about six months after my daughter was born, I was sitting in a Starbucks when a homeless woman walked in after roaming around the parking lot for about 5 minutes. I looked at all the people in the cafe and saw how they all tried to ignore her and look away. All I could think about was my new baby and how one day this could possibly happen to her in the distant future. This made me break out in tears. I ended up helping this woman with a few things and gave her a little cash I had on me. Over the next month, I saw this same woman 3-4 more times in completely different areas of town, all pretty far away from where I saw her the first time. I took this as a sign and decided to step up my efforts. From then on, I would actively seek out people in need and do whatever I could to help.

Recently, I have decided to step it up even more and start the YouTube channel. I did this knowing that people from all over the world might chip in so that I could help even more people and also to inspire others to help in their communities. We cannot wait around for our governments to change the world for the better. But if each of us makes a small change and helps even one person, it will start a chain reaction of good deeds that will grow exponentially.
