The Belmont Hurricane Relief Fundraiser was created to support the community of Belmont, St. James, Jamaica, after the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Our beloved community has been left heartbroken. Hurricane Melissa brought heavy rain, flooding, and fierce winds that tore through the school, homes, churches, and our community recreation center. Many families have lost everything: shelter, food, and a sense of security.

The Content Basic School also sustained severe damage, leaving students still at home and unable to return to class. This school supported so many of us; it was our first classroom, our introduction to learning, friendship, and community. For many, it was where dreams first began and where lifelong bonds were formed.

This relief effort is led by families and friends of Belmont, both at home and abroad, united by love for our community and determination to rebuild. Every donation brings us one step closer to restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and keeping the spirit of Belmont alive.
