Hi, my name is Beckie and I am a hairstylist in a suburb of Kansas City. I spend most working days talking to so many people who, like me, want to help our community stay fed. While brain storming ways to make an impact I couldn't help but think of things me and my family like to eat when the weather turns from chilled to ice. So I created this funding page to buy and butcher a cow locally from one of the many great farms we have available. Obviously when I mentioned this idea to Dana, Hair Lovin's loving leader, she couldn't wait to put the weight of our salon team behind the endeavor.

So far I have contacted Catholic Charities about receiving some of the cow. We obviously need places that can keep the processed meat frozen for distribution but I hope to spread the meat around a few pantries locally.

If you are a local farmer, butcher, or someone with the ability to help transport the meat when it's ready please feel free to reach out! This will take many hands but think of all the Midwest families we could feed.
