Help Me Provide Care Packages for Homeless Psychiatric Patients in San Francisco’s Mission District
Goal: $8,000
My name is Daya Atwal, and I am partnering with Citywide to provide hygiene kits for the housing-challenged population in San Francisco’s Mission District. Citywide is a local, government-affiliated public health organization that serves psychiatric patients who are experiencing homelessness.
Everyone deserves access to essential healthcare services, including proper dental care. Unfortunately, these basic needs often go unmet for many in our community due to financial constraints. By providing care packages, we can make a significant difference in their daily life by promoting dignity, health, and connection to essential services, improving their health and quality of life.
What will your donation provide:
Our hygiene kit will be comprehensive to address many different areas of health by providing products as well as educational material. They will include:
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand sanitizer, sanitary wipes, feminine hygiene products (where applicable)
Other essential items include rain ponchos, socks, and stress balls
Resource cards: Printed information in three languages most relevant to our targeted population (English, Spanish, and Cantonese) on healthy nutrition, oral hygiene, dental services, and emergency contact numbers.
My goal is to create and distribute 150 kits (est. $50 per package) for the psychiatric patients of Citywide who are experiencing homelessness. Any funds raised above our initial goal will be used towards additional hygiene kits for the community
How Can You Help:
Donate: Your financial contribution will directly fund the purchase of these hygiene kits for those in need.
Spread the word: Share our campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues. By raising awareness, we can reach more potential donors and supporters who share our passion for making a change.
Let’s make a difference together!
