My brother-in-law is gearing up to take cancer head-on. Below is the first update from my sister:

“This summer, Davin went to the doctor for a cough that had been lingering since early spring. After many tests, scans, and two biopsy surgeries, we finally got answers. We sat down with an oncologist and Davin was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Starting November 6th, Davin will begin receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy every two weeks at Mayo, for the next six months. He’s handling it as well as he can and taking it one step at a time.

We have been on a rollercoaster of emotions the last few weeks, while we have taken in all the information. This has been incredibly hard to process, but we are trying our best to stay strong and hopeful. We’re so very grateful for the medical team at Mayo and the love from our family and friends.

We appreciate your prayers, positive thoughts, and support more than words can express. While we go through this journey together, we take comfort in knowing we aren’t fighting this alone.”

All proceeds will go towards extra childcare expenses, medical bills, and other things to help around the house while Davin receives treatments and recovers.
