MTB Trials icon Danny MacAskill and distributor BTI are joining forces to help complete an 18.7-mile trail project in Dine Country. According to Roxanne Marianito, Navajo Nation Coordinator for the International Mountain Bicycling Association, after 2.5 years of bureaucratic "progress" the Tohatchi, NM community is close to passing the resolution for the approval of the planning & design and start phase 1 & 2 of the Tohatchi Trail project this year.
This new trail system will serve as a location for "Devo" MTB races with other Navajo youth from across the 4-corners region, tying nicely into Navajo Nation health and wellbeing goals. Silver Stallion, provider of trained expert coaches and collaborative programming such as field clinics and race events, has been an integral part of this journey.
To get it done, BTI will match donations up to $2500. Deadline is this Friday Nov 14 at 8:00AM PT.
Danny joins EMS Women's World Champ Elly Hopkin, rising Freeride star Caleb Holonko and BTI this Friday in person to make the donation to the people of Tohatchi.
