James Coonrod (also known as “Coonrod”) is a beloved member of the Sparta community. He has always been affectionately known as the “gentle giant,” noting his enormous strength, size, and heart, which he uses almost daily to help others. “Coonrod” is also a dedicated and loyal friend, co-worker, husband, son, father, and so much more to those who know and love him.
After spending 17 years at Moeller and 10+ years at Rhythm, James has faced hard times battling a number of physical ailments, which ultimately rendered him disabled. Following a 2017 knee replacement, he continued to have severe pain and neuropathy stemming from back and hip deterioration. In the past two years, James has undergone a hip replacement, invasive back surgery involving bone shaving, rods, and spinal fusion to address spinal stenosis and severely compressed nerves. Each of these surgeries required a lengthy stay in the nursing home in an effort to attain the therapy and care needed for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover an adequate amount of time for James to walk independently. He is now home and though optimistic, he and his family are faced with a very long road to recovery before James can perform basic tasks. His wife Angie is not only responsible for his care, but two disabled adults in the home. She does all this while working a 40-hour work week. As you can imagine, this is a tremendous financial, physical, and emotional burden for the entire family. Medical bills not covered by insurance continue to mount due to the extended care needed for James’ recovery. These are hardships that no one can prepare for. And this is where you all can help.
The extended family of James Coonrod is hosting a fundraising campaign to aid James and his family with medical bills and his continued care. As he continues the rehabilitation therapy to walk again, insurance will not cover the entire bill, which means even more hardship. 100% of dollars raised throughout this campaign will go to a fund designated only for James and his family.
In the words of Billy Graham, “God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with.” We’re asking that you join hands with “Coonrod’s Crew” through your giving. Any amount you can give is much appreciated and a blessing to the family. If you are unable to give, please continue to pray for healing and provision for this beloved family.
Thank you for your time in reading this and thank you in advance for your generous giving! May God bless and keep you!
