Join Babely’s Journey to Non-Profit Status

My name is Destini and I'm officially launching a charity this month, called Babely, that I'd love your help with:) Inspiring others has always inspired me, so my aim with Babely is to encourage others to give back by donating necessities to clothing and food-insecure families. Since December of 2024, I've organized themed monthly drives here in LA to test-run this idea, and they've gone amazingly! (See April's successful haul below--we collected 22 bags of goods!)
I've included a lil essay here about my inspiration behind Babely, my hopes for its future, and the deeply personal reasons I decided to create it in the first place. I have SO many dreams for this organization, and that's where you come in :)
Amazingly, my non-profit's model doesn't need a whole lot of funding at the moment. Where I'd love to have your help is:
- Fundraising the trademarking of Babely, so that we're name official! This is the very first step for establishing ourselves, before delving into the world of the 501(c)(3). (Trademarking is listed as anywhere from $350-$850, and the 501(c)(3) filing can be $275-$600, without hiring professional assistance.)
- Any and all tips, advice and connections you may have within the non-profit sphere. I'm like a sponge right now, soaking up as much info and guidance from those who are successfully
