Help Ashley Create Her First Home After 18 Months of Sobriety
Ashley is 18 months sober, works two jobs, and is doing everything right, but due to unexpected changes with her program, she’s being forced to leave her sober living facility in just a few days.
This was supposed to be a time of transition and celebration. Instead, it’s become a race to secure stable housing and gather basic household essentials—through no fault of her own.
Ashley has completely rebuilt her life over the past year and a half. Just last year, she was living on the streets of San Francisco. Since then, she’s maintained her sobriety, gotten two jobs, reconnected with her family, and remained active in her recovery community.
Why This Is Urgent:
Ashley must move out by July 18th, and she’s working hard to secure a small studio apartment in Redding, CA. Thankfully, she qualifies for a housing grant that will cover first, last, and deposit—but she has to find a place before her move-out date to access it.
This campaign is here to help with the rest of what she needs—essentials to make her new apartment a livable home, and a financial cushion during this transition.
What Your Support Will Help With:
Kitchenware, cleaning supplies, towels, hygiene items
Food and gas gift cards
Transportation, laundry costs, and basic furnishings
Our starting goal is $3,000, which will allow Ashley to land on her feet and start this next chapter strong.
In Ashley’s Words:
“I guess this move just means a lot, 'cause I’ll have my own space again. I’ve lost a lot—things, time, even myself for a while. To gain something back like having a home, it means everything.”
“One reason I want my own place is so when it’s snowing, my mom doesn’t have to drive all the way from Shingletown to Redding after working overnight. I want her to have a safe place to stay. It would help her, too.”
Ashley isn’t just focused on surviving—she’s focused on giving back. She’s done the hardest part of recovery. Now she just needs a bit of help to take the next step.
