Join Aoife in Welcoming Rosie Home

For over 12 years, my heart has been dreaming of adopting one of God’s children from the foster care system. Today, I stand on the threshold of making a dream come true: adopting my former foster child, Rosie, and welcoming her permanently into our home with Axl and me. This journey has been one led by faith, each step guided by walking with the Lord, leading me to this moment of obedience and purpose.

Rosie is finally here to stay, and I am humbled and honored to be called to be her mom, even as a single parent. With this path, God has also called me to lean into my community like never before. Fittingly, this final step falls during November—National Adoption Month. It’s no coincidence that this special time marks the culmination of our adoption journey, reinforcing the belief that His timing is always perfect.

Now, as we approach the final stage of this adoption, I am facing attorney fees totaling $1,750. Although it may not seem like an enormous amount, during a slower market at the end of the year, it’s a challenge I wasn’t prepared for.

But God. He has prepared me for every step of this journey, and this is one of those steps where I am called to trust and lean on those around me. Asking for help is a new chapter in my experience of motherhood, a lesson in humility and faith.
