Join Alejandro in Celebrating Capoeira's Rites of Passage

Hi I’m Contra Mestre Bodé Cantador lead instructor for Dallas Maladros. People know me by Alejandro Perez Jr, AP and my childhood name Alex. I’m a Multidisciplinary Arts Educator who loves Capoeira.

I’m raising funds for a Batisado which is a great undertaking involving hosting Mestres, Contra-Mestres, Professors and Disciples of Capoeira . My guests will be in town for over 3 weeks from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and San Diego, California .

I’ll be responsible for feeding them, tour guiding for the city of Dallas sites and room and board.

I realize I can’t do this alone, so I’m calling on my friends, family, colleges Mentors and lovers of the Art form. Community I need you now!

A Batisado is a baptism for new initiates and a graduation for disciples in the Discipline.

This rites of Passage Ceremony will take place at the South Dallas Cultural Center @ 3400 South Fitzhugh Dallas Texas 75215. On Sept. 28, 2024
