I am the granddaughter of Ruby Nelle Massey Lamb, Vernon Lee Lamb Sr., Mary Louise Stucker and Eugene Leveard Stucker. The daughter of Mary Ann K. Lamb and Allen Dwight Lamb. My name is Adrianna Lamb (although in the gaming community you may know me as sexiigrannie or adriannapple), I am a childhood cancer survivor- Go Team Teal. Cancer runs in my family- my mother, grandmother, grandfather, and uncle are all survivors of different types of cancer. My Uncle Theodore “Bud” Charles Wayt Jr. lost his battle with cancer January 31st of this year.
I’m trying to do everything I can to help fuel and fund Cancer Research and beat Cancer since we have it every generation. UBUNTU. United We Stand, Otherwise We All Fall. I’ve been helping people for as long as I can remember, receiving my first college certificate for Babysitting/Caregiving from the Central Florida Community College (now known as The College of Central Florida) in 2004 when I was 12 years old. A member of 4-H for a few years but always a life long supporter and lifelong learner. I became a certified first responder in 2006/2007. I have been a certified caregiver(babysitter) and Hospice volunteer since I was 12. A professional care giver for 20 almost 21 years. I would like to start a nonprofit in honor of my grandparents, great-grandparents, as well as all of the Amazing family-aunts/uncles, extended grandparents and Ladies of Sewing. The Amazing Teachers and Mentors that taught me what I know and the how-tos passed down from generation to generation. I would like to start a homeless care/career center/living facility. As well as having a self-sustainable farm that has a special Needs Charter school on it. That is what I was pursuing my College degrees in- Agriculture and Business until the car accident happened.
All of this came to an end January 8th 2021, when a lady carelessly ran her red light in Ocala,FL at 7:20 on a Friday morning while I was taking my eleven year old son to school. Four cars from three different directions- hers was the only car from that direction. My 2016 Hyundai Sonata saved our lives. I received a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury the level of Veterans blown up by IEDs, two herniated discs and two bulging discs, and more PTSD. He received a concussion and PTSD. The woman at fault was not charged properly- No serious bodily injury- only property damage- No medical coverage on her insurance. Her property damage coverage didn’t even cover my car being totaled out. It wiped out all of my savings, 401ks, stock accounts-the down payment for the farm and left me unable to work.
I was too proud to ask for help and lost everything along with my brain- most of my memories. My entire top vocal range due to the airbag exploding into my throat and heart knocking me “unconscious” for longer than five minutes- my kid’s blood curdling murder screaming brought me out of the hallway (he thought I was dead the way I was slumped unresponsive over the steering wheel). Sometimes I would have as many as five strokes and/or seizures a day for months after. I could not read for longer than an hour without getting physically sick and passing out for hours. I had to retrain my vision, speech, motor skills, writing, almost my entire vocabulary and basic math skills. I physically could not do anything for the longest time. After a while all I could do to improve was walk. I have come a long way in four and a half years and would like to give back to the town and community I have spent pretty much my entire life in.
I survived childhood cancer when I was a teenager, as well as signed all the waivers and permissions allowing them to use all of my stuff to help find a cure for cancer and HPV, as well as benefitting the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome sufferers since I was one of the earlier cases diagnosed with it at 14. All using studies that had been done previously in other Countries.
I preferred to stay anonymous through all of it, but due to my brain injury from the car accident - I forgot to request that when signing the Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation permissions to aid Veterans Recovery…..
I would like to use my experience to give back and help children struggling with cancer and its treatments- painted wood cancer peace coins - they are whurry machine safe (can be held) - and custom comforters with matching pillow for all those cold rooms and under the weather days.
I have been sewing and painting since I was five- possibly younger. My Gran (Nelle) taught me to sew at an early age making my first teddy bear for my best friend’s new brother at about 8. All of my grandparents taught me very young to love all. Learn all. Help All and wherever I can. To paint, draw and appreciate everything living. Wings of Silver and a real good book can help a lot in times of trouble. How to survive and Join the Cirlce of Life.
I got to go on my dream Mission Trip in 2019 to Cahuita, Costa Rica (where the Lamb Grandparents always wanted to go). I have volunteered my entire life and always just given my quilts away as presents. Designing each one specifically for each person With the most love, care and creativity. The only way I know how.
Some of y’all know me as the funny voice that talks too fast at the drive thru, twirling like a little tornado and trying not to fall out the drive thru window. Making y’all laugh right meow.
Some know me as the one who had to teach their kids how to use a broom, dust pan and mop at their first real job.
How to eat, how to read and to Be a good human.
Some of y’all know me as the short little girl who loaded up your giant appliances into your vehicle or made you sign a waiver to take your tv home.
Or the girl making y’all laugh while also yelling at you during your grocery shopping or home improvement experience.
Helping prepare the Florida Coast for Hurricane Irma.
The girl with the music singing, dancing and cheering you on at the obstacles, Registration, and Bag Check.
The girl startling you with compliments across the store/parking lot.
The girl who at one point in Ocala was pretty much the only place that would let you in after 11pm.
Always with a smile and laughs….well….usually. Always me just being me- trying to be the Rainbow in Everyone else’s Storm.
I am not asking for a handout- I am asking for a hand up. I can overcome any obstacle in my way- sometimes it just takes a little help. I used to run a tie dye/sewing/hemp jewelry business over ten years ago called Lazy Aze. I wanna bring it back just on a different level.
