Pelican to G-Town - Charity Run for the Balo School

We are raising funds for the Balo school in Kolkata, India. All 350 of the kids at Balo are from the Kolkata slums and are the first in their families to attend school. In June of this year, we are visiting Balo school to volunteer, where we’ll be primarily helping the students learn English.

Unfortunately, in India, higher-level education and employment opportunities are only available to those who speak English. As first-generation English speakers, these children only have the resources available at their school to improve their English ability, and therefore their lot in life.

We can't go empty handed.

On June 1st - June 2nd, the four of us will be doing a relay, running from Canberra to Goulburn and back to raise funds for the Balo School. This is a 230km run which we'll be aiming to complete within 24 hours.
