John is Home!
The Dohogne family is under one roof @HOME!
John was born on July 3, 2019 and had a lengthy stay at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
John was born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). In CDH, the diaphragm, the muscle that separates the abdomen from the chest does not develop completely, causing a hole where abdominal organs can migrate to the chest. When that happens, it doesn’t leave enough space for the lungs to develop normally, making it hard for the baby to breathe. When John was a tiny baby, he had surgery to repair the hole and put everything back where it should go, but his lungs still need help. John now uses a trach, ventilator and oxygen full time to support his breathing. John was able to come home with Maeve and Aaron on September 16, 2020, and with the support of medical devices, his family and a “village” of caring people, he is thriving!
How can we help?
John uses medical equipment at home that he needs full time. For his safety and peace of mind, we plan to install a home generator at the Dohogne home. There are several other home projects we would like to help Maeve and Aaron with to make their home as safe and comfortable as possible for John and their family. If you can help, please share and donate through the gofundme page or directly to the Dohogne family via venmo using the information below.

Maeve and Aaron are amazing parents and have a multitude of extra responsibilities added to each of their days. This is a great way for all of us to come together and get some really important things done for them. Together we can take a few tasks off their plate and let them focus on John and more family time.
Thank you!
