Hi, I'm going to be running the Pinhoti 100 trail race but I'm calling this Hayden's Hundred in memory of Hayden Cohen. Hayden was my girlfriend's son who passed away from brain cancer in 2016 after being diagnosed two years earlier. A diagnosis of cancer is devastating, terrifying and incomprehensible, especially so when it is your child. CURE Childhood Cancer were there to support Kathy and Hayden when their world turned upside down and helped them navigate their new reality. CURE Childhood Cancer is based in our hometown of Atlanta and is dedicated to funding targeted research while supporting patients and their families.
The Pinhoti 100 is a 100 mile trail race (on foot) along the Pinhoti trail in Alabama. This will be the most challenging endurance event I've ever done. In fact, I'm pretty sure I swore I would never do something like this....

The race takes place November 7 which is the day after what would've been Hayden's 19th birthday. When doing a race like this, there will be times when I have doubts as to the whether I can complete it or why I even signed up for this. I carry a bag of "whys" with me which I dig into during moments of doubt. Hayden and Kathy are in my bag of "whys". Please help me fill this bag of "whys". All contributions make a difference.
