John 'Mouse' Kennedy's Defibrillator Fund

Hi,

I'm Steve from the Oldham Athletic Veterans and Armed Forces Supporters Group.

Recently, our very good friend John 'Mouse' Kennedy unfortunately passed away, and his daughter Jenny has informed our group that donations 'in lieu of flowers' are to be split between a family charity and our group.

'Mouse' was a huge supporter of what we're trying to do for our fellow OAFC Supporters, Armed Forces and Veterans and local community, and we're very humbled by the families gesture.

We as a group, with the blessing of Jenny, have decided to raise funds to purchase and install a defibrillator at Boundary Park Stadium, the home of his beloved Oldham Athletic.

This will prove to be a superb legacy and will be something the community, Oldham Athletic, Oldham Rugby and anyone else attending Boundary Park could utilise if needed in an Emergency.

We plan also on adding an additional 24/7 accessible defib on the Main Stand on Furtherwood Road, and Bleed Kits adjacent to both defib cabinets. Hopefully we will be able to equip the Community Trust's over 30's & 50's football teams too.

If you can spare a few quid, any donation of ANY amount will be greatly appreciated

Thank you, from the Kennedy family and the Oldham Athletic Veterans and Armed Forces Supporters Group
