Want to join us in making a difference? John Mitchel's Gaelic Football Club are raising money to benefit Irish Australian Support Association of Queensland Inc., and any donation will help make an impact.

This Christmas, we’re asking for your support to continue to help the Irish community in Queensland.

To show our support our members, all over the world, will be taking part in a 5K run on St. Stephen's Day (26th December).

Over the past year, 457 people in Queensland needed a hand from IASAQ. Your donation can help IASAQ support the next person in need

In 2025, IASAQ supported:

- 38 people receiving intensive case-managed support

- 127 mental health interventions

- 43 people escaping domestic violence

- 89 visa crises

- Over 500 follow-up calls, because they don’t let anyone fall through the cracks.

As Irish people living in Brisbane, we felt this cause needed our support this year and every donation (big or small) is greatly appreciated. Christmas can be a hard time for expats all over the world, who can't be home for Christmas . By raising funds, we help to support IASAQ to continue to do their vital work and to highlight the importance of looking after each other over the festive period.
