It is my distinct honor to announce that I am running for office of Sheriff of Etowah County.
My Commitment
I am running for Sheriff to protect our community, uphold the law with integrity, and ensure safety for every resident. Public safety requires strong leadership, accountability, and partnership with the community—not politics.
1. Protecting Our Community from Crime
Focus resources on crimes against people, including violent and repeat offenses.
Increase visibility and proactive patrols in high-crime areas.
Use data-driven policing to deploy deputies where they are needed most.
Strengthen partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies.
2. Fighting Drugs & Drug Trafficking
Target drug dealers and traffickers, not just users.
Disrupt supply networks through coordinated investigations.
Support prevention and early intervention efforts.
Prevent drugs from entering our jail and community.
3. Safe, Secure, and Accountable Jails.
Implement free, structured visitation inside the facility, that protects safety and inmates’ rights.
Prevent overdoses by stopping drugs and contraband from entering the jail.
Strengthen screening, training, and monitoring procedures.
Hold anyone—staff or inmates—accountable for violating policy.
4. Integrity & Professional Standards.
Conduct more extensive background checks for all deputies and correctional officers.
Require ongoing ethics training and performance accountability.
Zero tolerance for corruption or abuse of authority.
Protect the reputation of the many professionals who serve honorably.
5. School Safety.
Place School Resource Officers in every school in the county.
Focus on prevention, mentorship, and early intervention.
Ensure schools are safe learning environments for students and staff.
6. Community Partnership & Trust.
Promote transparency and open communication with the public.
Support neighborhood watch and community-based safety programs.
Treat every person with dignity and respect.
Listen to community concerns and act on them.
Closing Statement.
Public safety is about more than enforcement—it is about prevention, accountability, and trust. As Sheriff, I will lead with integrity, professionalism, and a firm commitment to keeping our community safe.
