John Gazaway's Eagle Scout Project

My name is John Gazaway, and I’m currently a Life Scout working towards earning the rank of Eagle Scout. The capstone requirement for achieving this rank is completing an *Eagle Scout project - a significant service project that demonstrates leadership while benefiting the community. A scout must plan, develop, and lead the project from start to finish, applying all the skills they’ve learned along their scouting journey.

For my Eagle project, I am replacing a deteriorating pedestrian bridge in Mission Trails Regional Park. This bridge, used daily by hikers, dog walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts, has worn down over the years. My project involves completely removing the existing structure and building a new bridge of my own design while maintaining some of the original's core elements. I will be overseeing and guiding a team of volunteers to bring this project to life, putting my leadership skills to the test.

To make this happen, I need your help. Any contribution - big or small - will go directly toward funding materials and supplies for the bridge, as well as any miscellaneous costs. My goal is to raise a total of $500 for the project. Donations will directly support the project, and any amount raised beyond the cost of the project will be donated directly to Mission Trails Regional Park.

I truly appreciate any help you can give, whether through a donation or by sharing this email with others who might be interested. I couldn’t do this without the generosity of people like you!
