John & Allyson's Adoption Journey

We are John & Allyson and live in Lakeland, FL. For those of you who don’t know us, John and I have been struggling with infertility for a little over four years now, and we have excitedly started this journey of adoption! Over the years we have spent over $60,000.00 in fertility treatments including two IVF egg retrievals and two embryo transfers that unfortunately ended in miscarriages. It has been a long and hard journey, but we know God isn’t finished with us or our story and that He makes beauty from ashes. We have always wanted a blended family and we can’t wait to love and raise our sweet baby just as God has loved us. After years of trying, we believe God is going to place the most perfect baby into our arms.

First and foremost, we would love your prayers as we enter this season, scripture says "You do not have, because you do not ask" (James 4:2). Let's Ask! Thank you for your prayers, we are encouraged to know how many people are praying for our future family.

We have chosen to move forward with a Christian adoption consultant. You may or may not know that adoptions range anywhere from $40,000 to $70,000. One of the reasons we have chosen a Christian adoption consultant is that they are very clear about the financial side of the adoption process. Most of their adoptions end up around $45,000 - $50,000 on average. Another reason we choose a Christian adoption consultant is their care for their biological parents throughout the adoption process and afterward.

Things we are asking you to pray for:

Time in Waiting: Please pray for our time of waiting during the adoption process. Pray that we have patience and strength during this period and that everything proceeds smoothly and in a timely manner.

Wisdom: Please pray for wisdom for us as we navigate the adoption process. Pray that we make the right decisions and have discernment in every step of the journey.

Potential Biological Mother: Please pray for the potential biological mother of our future child. Pray that she may be guided and supported in whatever decision she makes regarding the adoption. Pray for her well-being and peace during this time.
