Hi friends.

Its my birthday in a few days. I'm past the age where you wish for certain things for your birthday, but I wish for something for someone else. Many people ask for donations to established charities for their birthday. I'm asking for something similar-but different.

My family has had the privilege of getting to know a very special young man over the last two years. His name is Mohammad. He is one of the most caring, honest, contientiousclever and gentle people I have ever met. 

He came to Sweden as a refugee with his little brother, whom he is like a father to.

The Swedish authorities has denied Mohammad permission to stay and complete his schooling. His little brother is allowed to stay...

In the 2 1/2 years he has been here, he has learnt the language fluently and is doing very well at school. In Swedish. 

They want to send him "back" to Afghanistan, where he has not set his foot since he was 1 year old. He grew up paperless in Iran.

Me and Heather will do whatever we can to help him. We have hired a lawyer and are doing our best, but if anyone would like to help, any help is greatly appreciated.

I wish for nothing for my birthday, except for Mohammad and his brother to be given an honest chance in this world.
