Joe’s wife and kids

Hi Everyone,

Our family suffered a tremendous loss over this past weekend with the passing of Joe. This was a completely unexpected tragedy.

Joe woke up Saturday morning around 4:30am and was having trouble breathing, so he drove himself to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He (with what we think must have been with the help of his guardian angels) made it through the front doors. Shortly after he collapsed. It required him to have CPR performed for 14 minutes, and he had to have a breathing tube put in.

From there a series of tests were performed that at first sounded bad, but following tests gave us hope.. It was a rollercoaster of emotions over the weekend as they tried figuring out what was wrong. It was determined that the blood pressure medication that Joe was on had caused a reaction that ultimately caused Joe to go into Cardiac Arrest.

On Sunday Joe was transported to the Neuroscience intensive care unit at Mass General where they were able to conduct further tests, and have the best doctors around determine his prognosis. Thats when our family learned that Joe had suffered severe brain damage from his lack of oxygen during the Cardiac Arrest. After learning that we knew that it would be very unlikely that our Joe would be coming back.

Joe was provided every possible chance by his amazing team of doctors and nurses at Mass General. But he lost his life on Tuesday April 23rd, 2019.

Joe grew up in Lee, and Dover, NH. Dover will forever be his hometown. Joe was an athlete all around but football was his sport. He played football at DHS, then went off to Plymouth State University to play football where he would be the captain of the team. This is where he met his best of friends and the love of his life Michele.

Joe and Michele had Evan, their first son. Joe loved being a dad and was an incredible one. Joe and Michele married in 2017, and in 2018 along came Benny, their youngest. Joe’s family meant everything to him. With out warning, Joe was taken from us and has left Joe’s wife Michele and the boys in a whirlwind. We want to do everything we can to help them through this unimaginably hard time.

We set up this page in hopes to help Michele, Evan, and Ben (Joes wife and boys) with their long road ahead. Any proceeds will help cover any funeral costs, rent, and utilities to help offset the loss of Joes income, while they figure out what to do next. Anything is extremely appreciated.
