With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Joelle Marie VanGuilder, a beloved wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and cherished friend. At just 47 years old, Joelle passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her unexpected loss has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Joelle lived with a radiant spirit — full of warmth, strength, faith, and boundless love. Whether running marathons, hiking the hills of Kentucky, or cheering from the sidelines at her children’s games, Joelle gave her all to the people and passions she cared about most. She was a woman of unwavering faith and a proud member of Southland Christian Church, where she drew peace and purpose from her relationship with God.

Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Joelle’s love was fierce, unconditional, and constant. She was the heart of her home — a pillar of strength to her husband Gaylord, a devoted and present mother to Briana, Kinsley, Colton, and Beaux, and the proud “Grandma Jo” to Josephine, Elijah, and Oliver, whose lives she touched with endless laughter, hugs, and joy.

In the wake of Joelle’s passing, her family is facing not only emotional grief but also the financial burdens that come with sudden loss — from funeral expenses to ongoing support for her children and grandchildren.
